16 Days of Activism Campaign Participation
The Centre for Transnational Development and Collaboration (CTDC) participated in the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence—a global campaign that runs annually from November 25 (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to December 10 (Human Rights Day). The campaign seeks to raise awareness and inspire action to end violence against women and girls in all their diversity.

In collaboration with 1morecup and Mosaic, and with support from the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Beirut, Intersos, Mawjoudin We Exist, and Mesahat for Sexual and Gender Diversity, CTDC helped produce two video stories featuring the lived experiences of women survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in Lebanon.

SGBV continues to affect women across the gender and sexuality spectrum. Trans and lesbian women, in particular, often face layered discrimination based on gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation. These video stories offer powerful, first-hand testimonies that reveal the structural violence and deep social stigma endured by women whose voices are often silenced.

The videos—16 Days of Activism: I and 16 Days of Activism: II—not only amplify these voices but also serve as a call to action to foster safer, more inclusive societies for all women, regardless of identity.

If future plans or public responses are available, they can further strengthen the impact of this initiative and build momentum for ongoing advocacy.
