Courses built from the casework

CTDC Academy turns more than a decade of research, consulting and organisational practice into structured professional courses.

Everything we teach, we have had to do, usually under pressure, usually in a context where the standard answer did not apply.

Courses are developed and taught in English and Arabic by CTDC’s co-directors and senior associates.

What makes it different

Four things a course catalogue does not usually mean.

01

Practice-based

Every module comes from real engagements. Case material is real and anonymised.

02

Developed natively in both languages

Arabic courses are written in Arabic, with attention to meaning, examples and register, not translated and reviewed.

03

Cohort-based

You learn alongside a group, with a facilitator, and with structured opportunities to apply the material to your own organisation.

04

Taught by practitioners

The people teaching the course are the people who do the consulting.

Who it is for

Who comes on a course.

  • Practitioners and managers in international and national organisations
  • safeguarding and accountability leads
  • evaluators
  • researchers and educators
  • people in leadership or moving into it
  • professionals repositioning as their field changes
  • organisations who want a team trained together
For organisations

Run any course as a closed cohort.

Any course can be run for your team, adapted to your context, policies and operating conditions. This is usually the fastest route to consistent practice across a distributed organisation, and it allows the material to reference your own systems rather than generic examples.

We can also build a course that does not exist yet - that is Learning Design & Delivery.

Next step

Find a course, or ask about a cohort.

The full catalogue, with dates and enrolment, is on the Academy itself. If you are training a team rather than an individual, start with a conversation instead.
